El Dia de los Bicicletas

another big day today on the bike. sunday is the day of the bike here in bogota as many of the streets are completely closed to all motorized vehicles and so bikes and rollerblades and joggers take them back! but i didn´t even go into the city today, and instead hit the hills and did an epic ride out over a pass and to a town i was told i shouldn´t miss. 110 kms today and two buggers of a climb. at the top of the pass i came across seemingly hundreds of cyclists, they were everywhere, and it was quite a festive mood.

yo kg-

there's cuban music flowing all over this place... they keep claiming its colombian but i know better. its son!

they're bigtime roadies out here... uber fanatics about all the big tours... okay, not everyone is into it, just like i learned not all french are into the tour. they're into mountain biking too. great riding out here, i've been on a bunch of great mtb roads and saw many too steep for this hombre (con este bicycleta). but even the best bikes here all seem to have cheap components... acera and tiagra at best.

¿hows the training going... when's your first crit?
